DOLE Valves, orifice valves, and/or flow restrictors, can be used to restrict pumping/flow rates through a pipeline. This allows for the choking down of well pumps that are pulling sands/silts from wells to help reduce intake velocity and sand production, and also allows for pumps to be throttled back to actual well yield.
Installation: Valves are directional, make sure flow arrow on side of valve is pointed in direction of flow. Do NOT lose the rubber washer inside of the valve, as this will ruin valve performance. Some precaution should be taken to assure that line pressures before the valve do not exceed the capacity of the plumbing lines (since pumps will often produce higher head pressures when throttled back).
